The Black Smokes began as Bayou Bullets in 2015 and unveiled their current name and lineup in the spring of 2022.  We are a local rock band that grew up near Black Bayou in South Louisiana. We draw inspiration from delta blues and vintage 70's hard rock to form our unique sound. We come armed with both original songs and a long repertoire of covers ranging from The Beatles and Stones to Van Halen to Chris Stapleton and anything else that rocks in between.  Our passion for music allows us to bring high energy to performances on any stage from the cover band honkytonk to your local original listening room or theater.
